Great for...

A warm, city-style getaway. Shopping, food, lots of culture and attractions. It's not ideal for a backpacker's budget, but there are plenty of cheap and delicious food options to keep you happy and full!

Getting Around

Singapore's subway system will get you basically anywhere you need to go. It's safe, clean, and efficient. There's also Uber if you prefer that route.

One of the more iconic tourist spots in Singapore, you may feel like you're in the movie Avatar while you walk around the Supertree Grove. Also check out the Cloud Forest.

Lau Pa Sat Hawker Centre

Also known as Telok Ayer Market. Dating back to the 19th century, this hawker center has a seemlingly endless array of food options. Check out all the stalls and get a bit from each before grabbing a table and diving in.

Marina Bay Sands Hotel

Marina Bay Sands Hotel

Another iconic spot in Singapore, the view from the Marina Bay Sands Hotel rooftop infinity pool is pretty amazing. There is also a mall in the lower levels to cool off and get your shopping on.

Must Eat

Chicken rice is a Hainanese classic. It looks so plain, but the flavors are amazing. Be sure to take advantage of the Asian/Indian fusion foods at a hawker center. Check out Char Kway Teow which are stir-fried noodles and a local staple.

Singapore is a tropical climate, so pack for warm, humid weather.
